Madison (my tot) and I have a goal to meet 365 Moms & their tots.

Tot Mom #27

Jenny, Bill, William, Emmersen, and Addisyn — The Fabulous Five

Jenny was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and lived there for 25 years. She attended a private school called Lindenwood University, where she earned her degree in sports management. Right out of college, she began working for a mortgage company, since sports management was a difficult field for women at the time. She moved to Charlotte 15 years ago to break into the sports market. Her overall thinking was she would get a job in the mortgage business in Charlotte while she pursued her dream. During this time, she was set up on a blind date and “Uh-Oh” they fell in love. Jenny and Bill have been together for eleven years and married for ten. Shortly after they were married,  they decided to have their first child and Jenny would be a stay at home. She stated, “I have a high dollar degree to be a stay at home mom!” She and Bill love to eat out for their date nights, especially at Mickey & Mooch, Dresslers, and Outback. After a nice dinner, they somehow end up at Target by the end of the night. Times have changed! Jenny giggled as she mentioned her hobby of crocheting and sewing scarves, blankets, hats, and more. Her last comment, “I’m turning into an old woman already!”

William, or Will, is 8 years old and quite an athlete, playing football, soccer, and lacrosse. I’ve actually never even heard of someone so young playing lacrosse. Emmersen, or Emme, is 6 years old and athletic as well, playing soccer, and doing gymnastics and cheerleading. This year, Jenny gets to be the cheer mom! And then, there is little Addisyn, or Addi, who is only 20 months old. Her past time is smiling and laughing, although she was running around and playing well with the older children at Birkdale. Jenny mentioned that Addi is the happiest 3rd baby ever! All three children are genuinely happy and extremely well behaved. Jenny attributes their manners to she and her husband’s ability to see eye to eye on discipline. They never let the children play mommy and daddy against each other. Each child is different that they have learned how to handle consequences for each. Jenny and Bill, you have done a fantastic job, keep up the good work!

The hardest thing about being a Tot Mom is having older children with a tot. Jenny is pulled in different directions constantly due to their opposite interests. The best thing, however, is there is something new everyday. She is always on her toes with 3 kids.
