Wendy & Katelyn — Our Own Little World
Wendy was born and raised in Burlington, North Carolina and attended Campbell University where she earned a BS in Psychology. After college, she moved to Charlotte and soon began making many friends, building her life here in the Queen City. Wendy went into customer relations as an Admin assistant for an accounting firm. She met her husband through some mutual friends and they have been married for 7 years. Wendy is now a stay at home mom and loving every minute of the journey. Pre-tot, she and Bob used to attend the fabulous Live at Five parties in Charlotte. Now, date night consists of dinner and a movie, listening to the symphonies at South Park, or drinking a glass of wine in Birkdale as they listen to the music at the center fountain. Times have definitely slowed down! Wendy’s hobbies include arts & crafts, such as painting pottery, and reading, specifically historical romance, mystery, and the Twilight series. She has an account on the site pinterest.com, where she finds ideas about anything and everything. This site features people who follow one another, making great suggestions and giving recommendations, from clothing to cooking to art or books. Wendy loves spending mommy time searching the site for her next great find!
Katelyn is 2 years old and known as “panda bear” for two reasons. One, because daddy calls her panda bear, and two, because she watches Kunfu Panda every night. Katelyn is a bit of a tomboy, climbing, jumping, and playing with cars. One of her favorite places is Little Gym, of course, because she can jump and climb on everything! Mom likes to refer to Katelyn as her “little jumping bean”. This gorgeous tot also enjoys going to parks, swimming, and recently, creating playdough masterpieces. During her down time, Katelyn watches her favorite cartoons, Peppa Pig & Yo Gabba Gabba. As she is becoming more independent, Katelyn watches the older children, observing their actions. In fact, Wendy went in for a kiss and Katelyn put up her hand instead. Mommy’s baby is growing up!
The hardest thing about being a Tot Mom is going through the 2 year old stage. “It is hard to help her when she is determined to do everything on her own.” The best thing is watching her smiling face and the unconditional love. She is “Our World”.
